The HP Vectra I used to compare performance of Win95, NT 3.51, andNT 4.0 in the main article came pre-loaded with EDO RAM. This type of RAM issupposed to increase system performance by 20 percent, so I tested this theory.I ran the SYSmark test under Win95, running both the 16MB and 32MB memory pointsbecause the machine came with only 32MB of memory. My results weredisappointing: I saw a 2 percent increase in application performance with EDORAM installed. You can see my results in Graph A.
