I learned about 4 trends in computing that will affect IT, I saw a preview of Windows 9, I met a dozen or more SharePoint people and some IT and developer types as well, I learned it's the little things that make a conference great, and I forgot to gamble. And I'll bet some of my fellow attendees did too.
