DESCRIPTION

The affected productscontain hard-coded SNMP community strings, which could be used togain access to the SNMP management and monitoring interface of theproducts.

VENDOR RESPONSE

Cisco has releasedanadvisorywhichstates that there is no patch available for the problem. The companysuggests that administrators disable SNMP on affected devices. Incases where that is not possible administrators should block SNMPtraffic to and from affected devices. More details and suggestionsare available in the advisory.
