A: Starting with Windows Server 2008 R2, Microsoft supports the installation of a CA on a Windows Server Core installation. You can install a root or subordinate CA using an enterprise or standalone configuration on the Server Core installations of the Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard, Enterprise, and Datacenter editions.
