iOpus Offers iMacros: Alternative to Microsoft WebBrowser Control
iOpus Software released the iMacros Component for .NET, a .NET WebBrowser control alternative for C# and VB.NET developers.
September 6, 2011
iOpus Software, a provider of website development products, has released the iMacros Component for .NET, which iOpus bills as a replacement for the Microsoft WebBrowser control. The iMacros Component for .NET lets developers add website-automation capabilities, such as automated form filling, data uploads and downloads, screenshot captures, and data extraction from websites, to their C# and VB.NET applications.
The iMacros Component can be used instead of the Microsoft WebBrowser control inside the application. iMacros takes care of all the low-level web automation work (e.g., DOM handling, events, BHO, Windows hooks). The component consists of a tabbed web browser control, a dialog manager, image recognition, DirectScreen technology for automating Flash and Silverlight, and all the other features available in the iMacros Browser. The component supports automating all Ajax functions (including HTML5), Flash, and Silverlight and is fully compatible with Internet Explorer.

The iMacros Component is scripting based, which means that any changes to the website require making changes only to the iMacros scripts and not the code base. The iMacros Component for .NET is priced at an introductory price of $1799. You can download a 30-day trial version of the iMacros Component for .NET here.
