Target regions when using Azure to Azure replication with ASR

Q. When using Azure to Azure replication with Azure Site Recovery can I replicate to any Azure region?

A. When using the Azure to Azure (A2A) replication the target region must be within the same geographic cluster, i.e. America, Europe, Asia or Australia. This means for a VM in the US I can pick to replicate to any other US region (including Canada). A VM in Europe can replicate to any of the European regions etc.
