Can I move an Azure public IP to another region?

Q. I have a reserved public IP address in an Azure region. Can I move it to another region?

A. No. Public IP addresses are region specific and cannot be moved between Azure regions. Likewise you cannot bring your own Public IP addresses to Azure. You would need a different public IP for each region and then use a technology like Azure Traffic Manager to balance between the region specific instances of a service.
