Windows 8 Visually: Windows To Go

Windows To Go is a new capability of Windows 8 Enterprise that allows IT admins to create fully managed Windows 8 Enterprise environments that boot from specially formatted USB 3.0 devices. Currently supported on just two such devices—The Kingston DataTraveler Ultimate and the SuperTalent USB 3.0 Express RC8—Windows To Go provides the ultimate secure, portable, and self-contained Windows 8 environment.

You can create and manage Windows To Go using the new Create a Windows To Go workspace wizard and a related Windows To Go Startup Options control panel. Both are available only in Windows 8 Enterprise, and both can be found using Start Search.

This screenshot gallery details the Windows To Go experience. (I’ll be writing more about Windows To Go soon.)
