You can assist the migration of UNIX programs and scripts to Windows NT using UNIXdevelopment toolkits. At a minimum, these kits implement a UNIX-friendly development environmentthat includes utilities such as make, awk, and other common development tools. The higher-end kitsalso provide support for X Windows APIs, letting you port an X Windows application as is from UNIXto NT. The following products and vendors address UNIX-to-NT migration.
