Microsoft has selected RadView Software’s WebLoad to analyze the Web server performance capabilities of Windows 2000 Server (Win2K Server) in an enterprise and small business Internet server configuration. The testing is part of a larger effort to provide methods and guidelines for tuning Win2K, to identify and eliminate performance bottlenecks, and to give independent evaluators information about how to test Win2K’s performance.“It’s important that customers understand the capacity limits of their Web site and Internet applications before deployment,” says Michael Stephenson, Microsoft’s Win2K product manager. “We found WebLoad to be a valuable tool for testing the capacity of Web sites running on Windows 2000 Server.”Evaluation versions of WebLoad are available at http://www.radview.com.
