VMware Announces Virtual Campus

At VMworld Europe 2009, VMware announced a new training center to boost third-party sales.

In a partner-focused move that takes a page out of Microsoft's playbook, VMware announced a new virtual campus for training partners to more successfully sell VMware solutions, with the intention of driving more end customers to VMware products.

At VMworld Europe 2009, VMware, Inc. (NYSE:VMW), the global leader in virtualization solutions from the desktop to the datacenter, unveiled VMware Partner University, a virtual campus that will provide partners with access to the latest, high-quality training and education on VMware products, services and solutions. VMware Partner University is designed to help VMware’s ecosystem partners accelerate sales and increase revenue by selling VMware solutions. This next-generation training program consolidates all available education resources from VMware under one central training framework, helping partners build highly successful and profitable virtualization practices.

VMware Partner University is designed to meet the unique skill sets of sales, pre-sales and post-sales professionals through comprehensive and easily accessible training plans.
