SQL Server MP for OpsMgr Updated with New Dashboard, 26 New Monitors and Rules

An updated Management Pack (MP) for System Center Operations Manager 2007 and 2012 snuck through the Microsoft download site late last week. The MP provides the ability to discover and monitor database engine instances, databases, and SQL Server agents, and supports SQL Server 2005, 2008, 2008 R2, and 2012 versions.

The MP delivers 26 new monitors and rules, but also includes a nifty, new dashboard, giving the OpsMgr admin access to a summary overview for some of the most critical SQL Server components.
