Q: Is there a free site I can host where people can sign up for a mailing list?
Several free solutions are available for hosting a mailing list.

A: I host a mailing list and send updates to it when I post new technical videos. I previously did this by just sending out a large email with hundreds of email addresses in the BCC line. After some research, I found several free solutions available:
Windows Live Groups: Sign-in with a LIVE ID and create a new group. You can add members to the list and people can request to join. You can set the preferences so people in the group can’t mail the group list so no one but you will be able to send messages to the whole group.
Yahoo Groups: Similar to Live Groups capabilities, only through Yahoo.
There are certainly others available, including some you pay for, but the ones above are free and seemed easy to use.
If you know of another, I'm happy to add it to the list. If you want to be notified when I post new technology videos, you can join my Windows Live Group SavillTechUpdates ([email protected]).
