Patch Tuesday Fallout: KB2889923 Breaks Outlook 2010 When Lync 2013 Exists
If Outlook 2010 stops working for you after applying this month's Skype for Business upgrade, here's a workaround.

Thanks to an alert from Jordan Loehr today, here's a heads-up on an issue created by the Skype for Business update. Also, thanks to Jordan, there's a workaround.
Per Jordan, if you have Office 2010 installed on a system that also has Lync 2013, when the KB2889923 upgrade package for Skype for Business is installed, Outlook 2010 stops working.
Here's the workaround:
@rodtrent @WindowsITPro getting to it. Workaround is to start outlook in safemode and disable the 'Outlook Connector for Social Network'
