PASS Europe 2006 in Barcelona, Feb 22-24
Here are the latest details on the PASS European event in Barcelona.
January 10, 2006
Join the Professional Association for SQL Server (PASS) and me (yes, I'll be there!) for top rated SQL Server education at the 2006 PASS European Conference, being held 22-24 February 2006, Barcelona, Spain. (Details at http://lists.sqlmag.com/t?ctl=1D9DB:BA9B5.)
The venue is the Hotel Fira Palace. It's a beautiful hotel within easy walking distance to the beautiful Fira Palace and Fountains. The palace now houses a fantastic collection of Catalonian art from the Medieval Period through Modern times. The Fira Fountains put on an evening light and music show. (I know because I stayed there in the late 1990's for a Microsoft TechEd Europe event.)
The PASS European Conference features more than 30 technical sessions focusing on Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence, Database and Application Development, and DBA/Enterprise Database Administration and Deployment. The user-driven education covers topics including the latest on SQL Server 2005, advanced information on SQL Server 2000, security, reporting services, XML, CLR integration, data mining, data encryption and more! With sessions presented by Microsoft, SQL Server MVP's and users like you, this is a great opportunity to connect with SQL Server professionals from across the globe.

The conference is set for Thursday and Friday, but you really should attend the in-depth, full day of training on Wednesday, 22 February 2006, from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m (for an additional fee of 295 Euro). At the pre-con, Bob Ward, Ken Henderson and Bart Duncan of the Microsoft Product Support Services (PSS) team, will present the "SQL Server PSS Boot Camp." This was a top session at the 2005 PASS Summit. It focuses on how SQL Server works and how to resolve complex problems with it.
If you're a DBA, data warehouse architect, developer or anyone using Microsoft SQL Server, this is an event you don't want to miss. Detailed descriptions of the technical sessions and the SQL Server PSS Boot Camp Pre-Conference Seminar, as well as convenient, secure online registration are available now! Take advantage of a 500 Euro savings off the full registration rate of 1395 Euro when you register by 31 January.
