Office 365 outages have been reported today, specifically with users complaining they can't access email in Exchange Online.
Microsoft's Office 365 Twitter account acknowledged "delays."
The Washington Post reported "A Microsoft spokeswoman confirmed the outage is affecting the company's Exchange Online service, but said that the company is still gathering information on how many of its clients have been affected. The company recommends that users consult its service health dashboard for updates as its engineers continue to work on resolving the problem."
The Exchange Online outage comes close on the heels of yesterday's Lync outage.
How will this affect Microsoft's marketing and messaging around Office 365?
Even if it has no effect on Microsoft's steamroller-like cloud push, perhaps it will make the company consider more venues for immediate interaction with customers beyond Twitter.
Then again, we already have another venue--you have to sign up for Yammer to get updates about Office 365.
In spite of its 140-character limit, Twitter IS effective at providing a voice for users and IT pros.
At the least, if you're running Office 365, it behooves you to sign up for Twitter. Sorry. That's about all we can do to help in this situation.
