On November 11, Microsoft announced the release of Systems Management Server (SMS) 2003, the company's change and configuration-management solution. The company says the latest release is easier to install, configure, and maintain than previous versions. In addition, the new version includes improved features for application deployment, asset management, security-patch management, mobility, and Windows Management Services integration.
