Management Pack for Windows Server Cluster Updated for R2

Originally released in March 2008, Microsoft has finally released an update that brings support for Windows Server 2012 R2.

Management Pack for Windows Server Cluster Updated for R2

The System Center Management Pack for Server Clustering has long been used for managing, maintaining, and monitoring the Windows Server Cluster service. It can help admins be proactive in detecting connectivity and service problems that could lead to outages.

Originally released in March 2008, the Management Pack has seen at least 6 updates since. On Tuesday, Microsoft has finally released another update that brings support for Windows Server 2012 R2.

The Management Pack currently supports the following versions:

  • Windows Server 2003 operating systems with Service Pack 1 (SP1) and Service Pack 2 (SP2) on 32-bit and 64-bit servers.

  • Windows Server 2003 R2 operating systems with Service Pack 1 (SP1) and Service Pack 2 (SP2) on 32-bit and 64-bit servers.

  • Windows Server 2008 Enterprise, Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise, Windows Server 2008 Datacenter, and Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter operating systems on 32-bit and 64-bit servers.

  • Windows Server 2012 Standard and Windows Server 2012 Datacenter operating systems on 64-bit servers.

  • Windows Server 2012 R2 all editions.

  • This management pack is also supported on the Server Core installation option of the Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2012, and Windows Server 2012 R2 operating systems.
