I’m attending my eighth annual Microsoft MVP (Most Valuable Professional) Summit up in Bellevue and on Microsoft campus in Redmond, Washington. It’s three days of NDA discussions with product teams, executives, and some excellent networking with with other MVPs from around the globe. I don’t know how many countries are represented, but I do know when someone in a Directory Services meeting I haven’t met yet opens their mouth to speak, I have no idea what kind of accent they’ll have .

I can’t talk yet about much of what’s being said here, but there are definitely common themes I’m hearing again and again in different sessions, echoed by both Microsoft employees and attending MVPs: Cloud security, cloud confusion, the role of identity in the future, job worries, and more. Over the next few days I’ll post some articles both here and in the general website to talk about a few of these.

For now, let me leave you with a quote from Jeffrey Snover this morning, when talking about improving one’s internet connection for cloud services: "Bandwidth is something you can throw money at; latency is not. Latency is this thing we call 'the speed of light.’”
