IT/Dev Connections 2016 Speaker Highlight: Kenny Buntinx

Part of an ongoing series, we're highlighting the excellent speakers we have handpicked to present phenomenal and extremely valuable content at the IT/Dev Connections conference. Want more? Get the Insider’s Scoop about IT/Dev Connections 2016 in the on-demand replay of our September 8 webinar.

This speaker highlight is Kenny Buntinx.

Kenny's IT/Dev Connection sessions:

Recently, we asked Kenny to give us a little information about himself. Here's what he shared:

ITDC: Give us a brief introduction to you.

Kenny: I am Kenny Buntinx Kenny and I am a highly qualified, certified and energized consultant working for Coretech Benelux with more than 15 years of experience. I always strive to deliver high quality when managing and delivering projects. I have a strong focus on the Microsoft System Center product family and am considered an industry expert in the System Center Enterprise Client Management space. I have a deep technical background with a track record in "Enterprise Client Management" architecture and "Unified Mobile Device Management" expertise.

Additionally, I believe strongly in sharing knowledge amongst my peers and therefore co-founded the System Center User Group Belgium. As an industry expert and Most Valued Professional (MVP), I am a frequent speaker and ask-the-expert guest at both national and international events.

ITDC: Describe the sessions you are presenting and why you feel the topic is important.

Kenny: My main top sessions are Workshop: How you can digitally transform any organization and The right steps to the right upgrade path from Configmgr 2012 and server Windows 2008.

Because cloud will become inevitable. You can resist as much as possible to it, but you will soon see that your job gets even more challenging and more fun than ever before.

ITDC: What should attendees expect to be able to take away from your sessions?

Kenny: People will be able to learn from experienced, die hard set of MVP’s, the real world solutions and experiences without the marketing layer. At the end of the day, you will get practical experience to your company on how to tackle things the right way. The capabilities packaged in the EMS are a giant step beyond simple MDM. The EMS is a people-first approach to identity, devices (Windows, iOS and Android), apps, and data – and it allows you to actively build upon what you already have in place while proactively empowering your workforce well into the future.

ITDC: What is your primary reason to be excited about IT/Dev Connections?

Kenny: It’s an opportunity for me to talk with a large group people and share my community knowledge. It’s a great way to show my dedication to System Center Configuration Manager with Windows Intune or the complete enterprise Mobility + Security Suite and how enterprises can benefit by that portfolio of products in real live.

Apart from that it will not be my first time to Vegas, as a MMS veteran, but I will be the third IT/Dev conference so looking forward to the User group experience and to meet new people in different areas of expertise.

ITDC: What is the one key technology you believe is changing the technology industry right now?

Kenny: I strongly believe that the whole cloud technology is going to change the industry. I truly believe there is a path we need to explore for sure. Not every customer will go all-in cloud, but certainly will use certain sets of functionality.

ITDC: Assuming attendees want to know, what’s your favorite, non-technical hobby or pastime? What’s one thing that totally irks you.

Kenny: I like exploring Gin-Tonics, tasting beers, enjoying quality food with friends, but of course spending time with my kids (an excuse to play with Lego J)
