Brian Moran recently wrote a very good opinion piece in the SQL Update e-newsletter about security.  Brian's point was that a lot of the new feature sets in SQL Server 2005 are getting the most attention - Service Broker, CLR, etc.  However, most people don't realize that the security model in SQL Server 2005 is all new.
