Q. Is Switch Embedded Teaming (SET) only used with SDNv2?
A. No. Switch Embedded Teaming (SET) enables multiple NICs to be assigned to a vSwitch to provide highly available connections and scale while maintaining support for technologies such as RDMA. SET is the only HA networking technology supported when using SDNv2 in Windows Server 2016 (not NIC Teaming) however SET can be used outside of SDNv2 and is the future direction for networking high availability in Windows.
