Beat the Xbox One into Submission to Fix Faulty Drive

Dave D on YouTube has taken some suggestions from the Xbox One forums to develop a fix (and a video) for the reported issue where the Xbox One's Blu-Ray disc drive made grinding noises during disc access.

Some users noted, that to fix the issue, one would need to hold the Xbox One about a foot off a surface and drop it. But, Dave D shows that this is not the case. Apparently, during shipping, a gear in the Blu-Ray disc drive becomes misaligned and all is needed is a few firm raps on the console to put the gear back in place.

Why this is only affecting a small minority of users is unknown. I'm guessing it may have something to do with the shipping carrier selected, but I could be wrong.
