Q: Where in Active Directory is the Active Directory-Based Activation information stored?

Active Directory-Based Activation (ADBA) information is found in the forest configuration partition.

A: Provided that the Active Directory (AD) schema has been extended to Windows Server 2012 level, and ADBA has been configured, the objects that ADBA clients use for the activation seeding are found under the forest configuration partition  at CN=Activation Objects,CN=Microsoft SPP,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=, as the screen shot shows.

Don't modify this object directly--always use the Volume Activation Tool.
