JSI Tip 6679. When you use the Windows Server 2003 Active Directory Users and Computers snap-in to create home folders on a Windows 2000 domain controller, you notice that the Everyone group has Full Control?

The Windows Server 2003 Active Directory Users and Computers snap-in configures home folders with inheritance from the parent folder.

To work around this cross platform issue, don't use the Windows Server 2003 Active Directory Users and Computers snap-in to configure home folders on a Windows 2000, or:

1. Navigate to the parent folder, right-click it, and press Properties.

2. Select the Security tab.

3. Clear the Full Control check box for the Everyone group.

4. Grant the Administrators group Full Control.
