Microsoft has written an article on the subject at http://support.microsoft.com/support/win2000/ad.asp.
"This impacts all customers. Product Support Services (PSS) has received many calls about customers that either inadvertently or intentionally delete critical objects in the Active Directory. This notice is to educate everyone on the problems that may result from this, what the impacts are, and what Microsoft is doing to resolve this problem."
