Active Directory-Based Activation Minimum to Activate

Q: Does Active Directory-Based Activation require a minimum number of computers before it starts activating?

A: No, Active Directory-Based Activation (ADBA) doesn't require a minimum number of computers. While Key Management Service (KMS) required five KMS clients before servers (Windows Server) could be activated, and 25 before clients (Windows 7) would be activated, ADBA has no such requirements and will start activating any supported machine as soon as it joins the domain, provided that ADBA has been configured.
