Hands on with Windows 10 Build 15025 for Creators Update

Last week Microsoft released Windows 10 Build 15025 for PC (01 Feb) and Mobile (02 Feb) so that Windows Insiders could use these builds for the final Bug Bash on the Creators Update that is happening until the 12th of February.

The company also released ISOs for Build 15025 so that testers could perform clean installs as necessary and also check out the new OOBE that now has Cortana tied in for voice recognition.

I have spent the last few days poking around this latest build and participating in the Bug Bash myself to see the direction things are continuing. I have come across a few highlights among the items that were announced and un-announced.

For full details be sure to read the announcement blog posts from Microsoft for Build 15025 on PC and Mobile devices. One thing you will notice on the mobile update that many features we saw in previous builds for Windows 10 Creators Update on PC's have now made their way to the mobile side. This was the first build in more than two weeks for Windows 10 Mobile so there was some catching up to happen. This latest build brings features like reading e-books on Microsoft Edge Mobile, full color emoji, collections in Feedback Hub, and mono audio in Ease of Access settings.

As I mentioned late last week, we are in the final stages for the development of the Creators Update, aka Redstone 2, so the likelihood of major new features for future builds is fading. Microsoft will soon begin focusing on just bug fixes and performance tweaks leading up to the expected release of this update in April 2017.

This gallery will highlight some of those changes and issues I am seeing in this latest build.
