Professional services provider TMNG Global has added a new functions to its eLexicon assessment tool aimed at helping enterprise IT pros more thoroughly evaluate cloud vendors and services and operate their own data centers more efficiently.

The platform is designed to help enterprises develop, document and prioritize data center, system, OSS/BSS applications and operational requirements, said Andy Bart, VP of cloud computing for TMNG Global. It can also help them produce RFPs and evaluate their vendor, equipment and software options in the cloud, he said. The platform is pre-loaded with 700 specific data center requirements.

“The requirements help TMNG Global’s clients determine their best options, whether they are upgrading existing sites, assessing outsourcing options, considering managed services, are looking to collocate or are planning to build out a new data center,” Bart said.

New functionality added to eLexicon include technical evaluation of hardware and software, billing and CRM evaluation and data center evaluation—functions like site selection, building design, electrical, mechanical, infrastructure and more.

“We’re addressing every functional area typically found in the technical and operational environment of communications companies,” Bart said.
