On the Windows 10 Redstone 3 Lock Screen you will now see a new option just below the box for your PIN.
Select that to get started with the reset process.
For a PIN reset you will need to know your Microsoft Account password. That is one of the two authentication factors.

PIN change dialog.
Once the PIN is changed you will be returned to the PIN login for the Lock Screen.
The password reset process is slightly different and begins with confirming the account email address and entering the Captcha.
Step one to verify your identity for the password reset.
I used the Authenticator App for my first piece of identity verification.

On this screen you enter that code which was sent to your alternate email account.
Now you can enter your new password but be aware it only asks for it once so there is no option to re-type it a second time to verify they match.
Type slowly and carefully here!
Nope - you are not allowed to use a password that you have used before.
Password reset success!
If you do not have a second factor setup for authentication you will have to use the web to reset your account password.
All the more reason to go ahead and setup 2FA on all of your accounts.
Password resets that happen through the Lock Screen still result in an email to your Microsoft Account email address so you know a reset has occurred.
