Microsoft silently issues major updates to all six of the Bing apps that ship as part of Windows 8 and RT this morning. These include the Finance, Maps, News, Sports and Travel apps.

Key updates to this release of the Finance app include:
- Updated watch-list
- Real-time US stock updates
- Customizable interactive charts

Maps
Key updates to this release of the Maps app include:
- Supports improved driving, transit and walking directions
- Now includes up-to-the minute traffic incidents notifications including construction and accidents.
- Save common places as favorites
- Pin them to your Start screen so that they roam across your Windows 8 devices

News
Key updates to this release of the News app include:
- Customize the app to keep tabs on specific story categories, topics, or news sources
- Supports RSS feeds and offline reading so you can make the news truly your own and take it with you

Sports
Key updates to this release of the Sports app include:
- In-game NBA statistics
- Chinese Super League soccer results
- Adds 29 additional sports leagues, with a total of 65 covering Soccer, American Football, Basketball, Rugby, Cricket, Tennis, Motor Sports, Baseball, Ice Hockey and Golf
