Intel's New Wake-on-Voice Technology Elicits Cortana to Wake Your PC

Intel's Developer forum is taking place this week in San Francisco. Intel has been on a roll recently, preparing to introduce new and innovative technologies to help finally advance us into the realm of Star Trek. One of those, Rich detailed recently in his demo for Windows Hello Facial Recognition which requires an Intel RealSense 3D Camera.

Yesterday, during an on-stage demo, Intel announced an upcoming new audio processing technology that runs on Intel-powered computers with Windows 10. The feature called "Wake-on-Voice" runs audio in low-power mode, allowing the PC to stay in constant "listening" mode without draining battery. But, the really cool thing is that it works with Cortana. When you say "Hey, Cortana," the PC wakes up, ready to use.

I want this.

This is really cool stuff…
