Skype this week added a preview version of video messaging to both the Skype “Metro” mobile app for Windows 8/RT and the Skype desktop application for Windows. Video messaging lets you record a video a video message and then send it to your friends and other contacts via Skype.
If you send a video message to a contact and they’re offline, they’ll be able to view it the next time they’re online. Just try not to make one that looks like this.
To get the preview of Skype Video Messaging for Windows 8/RT, download the latest version of Skype for Windows 8 now from the Windows Store.
To get the preview version of Skype Video Messaging for Windows desktop, download the latest beta version of Skype for Windows desktop on Windows 7 or 8. Skype notes that this feature requires Flash and may not be available in all markets.
